We hope everyone else is in the same situation. hawaiinewsnow.com has good coverage. We are watching the situation in Hilo right now as they are forecast to be the first hit. Mahalo again for your kind words.
A huge mahalo to the folks at NOAA pacific tsunami warning center for the warnings 12 hours ago which gave us valuable time to prepare and get safe.
Our thoughts go out to the folks in Chile. We hope they are coping, our news coverage here is mostly of our situation.
February 18, 2010 – Stacey & David
Whilst many Canadians are at home enjoying the snow and the Olympics, Stacey and David, along with David’s parents, decided a wedding on the beach at Ironwoods was more their speed.
Guests at the Westin Kaanapali Ocean Resort Villas, David’s parents thought it would be a wonderful gift for the young couple to begin their lives as a wedding pair on the magical island of Maui! We think there is no better place than Maui and from the love in their eyes, we think Stacey and David agree whole-heartedly!
Many days of wedding bliss to the both of you!

February 14, 2010 – JaNice and Carl
Hailing all the way from Mississippi, JaNice and Carl came to Maui to celebrate their anniversary. Married on Valentine’s Day they spent 2010′s Valentine’s morning renewing their vows of love and respect for each other. Blessed with Maui’s blue skies and by Ernest Pua’a's oli (chant) they have begun their journey to another blissful ten years together.
Mahalo for allowing us to be a part of your special renewal, JaNice and Carl! Many blessings!

February 9, 2010 – Neil & Karen
A German tourist once asked me what Aloha meant, Neil and Karen are the definition of Aloha!
We received a last minute vow renewal request from Westin Ka’anapali Ocean Resort Villas, Neil and Karen wanted to celebrate their Pearl wedding anniversary on Maui’s beautiful beaches..
It was a pleasure to assist with their renewal and be present to experience the love they have for each other.
Mahalo!!

February 9, 2010 – Bill & Tonya
You really don’t know when and where your next wedding will be coming from. Bill and Tonya are actually from Fargo, North Dakota!!
Bill’s parents met Fran at Tommy Bahama’s in Whalers Village way back in 2009. They come to Maui every year because they are lucky enough to own timeshare with Maui Marriott’s Ocean Club. When they found out Fran was a wedding planner they immediately let their son know to get in touch with her if he was serious about getting married in Maui.
Fast forward to February 2010 and Makena Cove in South Maui – Bill and Tonya exchanged their vows with 13 of their closest family and friends and BOY was the sunset beautiful for such a special occasion.
Thank you to the new Mr and Mrs F. for allowing us to be a part of your most special of days! We hope you get to spend more days in the sun and ‘NO SNOW!’
February 6, 2010 – Dayne & Samantha
Southern hospitality starts with these folks! We had the absolute pleasure of assisting with this wedding and you’ll never meet a nicer bunch of people.
Travelling all the way from Florida, nearly 40 people came to Maui to celebrate young love!
We were blessed with wonderful weather and an amazing red and orange sunset for Dayne and Samantha’s wedding at Kapalua Bay Beach.
Beautiful flowers and a fabulous performance from Adam and his heart-thumping Polynesian processional made for a memorable ceremony.
Merriman’s Kapalua was once again host to a lovely reception and dinner. Just before heading into the dining area Dayne and Samantha were blessed by a show from our yearly visitors, the Humpback Whales. A mother and calf decided they would play just off shore to ensure Dayne and Samantha knew how special their union was.
We wish this happy, young couple all the best in their future!

February 5, 2010 – Dayne & Samantha
Aloha,
Just a quick shot from the wedding rehearsal today at Kapalua Bay.
And yes, they ARE that fun!
February 3, 2010 – David & Christine
Aloha,
What an amazing event to start our blog. Yesterday we were privileged to organise a surprise vow renewal for David and Christine.
David contacted us to arrange the surprise for his wife Christine on our beautiful island. It was a joy to share such a special moment and to see the look on Christine’s face as David sprung the surprise. They brought their long time family friend and preacher Paul and his wife to perform the renewal.
Mahalo to Brent and Sunya for helping to make the day perfect.
